The parish is, first, a people. Simply stated, it is a people called together by God. It is a people empowered by the Spirit to make increasingly true and obvious their response to God through Christ.
Like every year at this time, we join all parishes to assist others in need through the Annual Catholic Appeal. Unlike other years, we do so in the midst of restrictions on coming together for Mass in prayer and charity.
Your support in 2021 is very important to our parish and to the local Catholic Charities that must carry out important work in the coming months. In 2020 your gifts helped our charities to quickly extend a hand to thousands of people and families in dire need due to COVID-19.
As we reflect on our blessings and consider our sacrificial acts during this Lenten Season, I ask all of us to do two things:
Watch the stories in this year’s video. They are truly inspiring and remind us that we make a profound difference in many lives with our financial support.
Give what you can. 25% comes back to our parish for our outreach to those in need.
Let us pray for all those who depend on our generosity through the Annual Catholic Appeal: those who need assistance and all those who work tirelessly in the charitable organizations and parish outreach ministries that serve them.
Thank you and blessings to you and your loved ones,
